Igor's class felt like a once in a lifetime experience for my husband and I to end our honeymoon with. We arrived and were greeted with prosecco and told all about our experience, then started making gelato. From there we made our pasta and the sauces, and then dined in the beautiful restaurant and enjoyed our meal and dessert! Igor was so patient with us and explained everything so well. I'm confident that I can recreate these recipes and skills at home, which shows how good of a teacher he is!
What a great family experience. Igor was kind and made all ages feel welcome and comfortable. It was super hands on and we learned both about what we made as well as about things having to do w Italian culture and ingredients. A memorable experience!
What a great experience! I don't typically eat pasta but I am now a lifelong fan. Great memories and they made us feel so at home! Highly recommend booking an experience with them. You will not be disappointed!
We absolutely loved this experience! Our group of 8 family and close friends (2 couples with our 3 college-aged children and one teenager) booked this cooking class with Igor to celebrate my son’s 14th birthday while in Rome. He loves to cook and chose this as a special activity for the day. It ended up being a highlight of our 10 day trip to Italy.
Igor was very welcoming and greeted us with a smile and a Prosecco for each of us while he explained what we would do during our time with him. He was kind and fun and instantly connected with each of us. He patiently walked us through making 2 flavors of gelato and then several types of pasta, including ravioli. He made sure each of us was engaged in the activity and gave each of us help and attention ensuring we learned the art of making fresh pasta. Once it was ready to cook he took us into the kitchen where another chef was waiting to help him teach us how to make the sauces for the pasta.
Once done, we enjoyed our pasta with wine of our choice and finished with our gelato. There was plenty of pasta and wine (and Coke for my 14 year old) to send us off full and happy.
We had a lot of fun the entire time and although we went over our time by an hour, we never felt rushed - even though they had to prepare to open soon after we left. He even taught us how to sing “Happy Birthday” in Italian to our son and made sure to take photos of us throughout the activity to email to us after. We are all excited to make homemade gelato, pasta and sauce with the recipes he sends to remind us.
Igor is a great instructor and the nicest guy! I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a fun, authentic and different experience in Rome!
Thank you again, Igor!!!
